Institution of Fire EngineersQualifications Update Meeting 26th August 2009
The Qualifications Update Meeting on the 26th August 2009 was a huge success.Following a brief update on progress made during 2009, the IFE Qualifications event focused on reducing corporate risk, employer driven qualifications and the development of on-line assessment.
The update comprised of a blend of short information sessions aimed at stimulating discussion, together with an open forum. Your views were very warmly welcomed and your contribution has assisted in informing the future direction and range of qualifications available to the UK FRS.
The key speakers of the event were Andy Brookes (Greater Manchester FRS), Richard Hannigan (Humberside FRS) and Mick Quy (London Fire Brigade), their presentations can be found below. Louise Craig, the CEO of the IFE, also gave an update on the direction of the qualifications offered by the Institution both present and future which can be found below.
