Member re-instatement made easy
It has never been easier to re-join the Institution. This year over 300 former members have been re-instated and are now able to access a wide range of benefits including entry to the Members Only web site area. Just follow the following simple process:
Resident in UK:
Provided that your previous record can be found, re-instatement is effected by paying the current year's subscription (http://www.ife.org.uk/membership/subscriptions/ ). Currently there is no financial penalty for re-instatement.
If your record cannot be found you will be asked to provide proof of previous membership and the grade held. This usually only occurs when membership lapsed some time ago.
You will be re-admitted to the grade held at the time of leaving membership.
Resident Overseas:
If you are resident outside of the UK, please check whether there is an Institution Branch in your country by clicking on the following link http://www.ife.org.uk/branches/
If there is a local Branch, please contact the Branch Secretary who will take the necessary action.
If there is no local branch, please contact us at info@ife.org.uk or telephone 01608 812 580.
Continuity of Membership
Please note that members wishing to be re-instated with continuity of membership would be required to pay all of the membership fees outstanding from the time of leaving membership. This would be of interest to members wishing to pay a lifetime membership fee on reaching age 60 with 15 years continuous membership.
By paying a lifetime membership fee (twice the prevailing annual Fellowship fee) you may retain your Institution membership without further payment.
