I previously served with Dumfries & Galloway Fire and Rescue Service for 31 years until retirement in August 2009. My most recent role in the service was as Head of Fire Safety from 2002 - 2009, with a total of 13 years as a Fire Safety Officer.

My Position enabled me to represent the service on the Chief Fire Officer's Fire Safety Committee in Scotland and I was actively involved in responding to the Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006 and to the Sector Specific Guidance produced by the Scottish Government.

I am also familiar with the Regulatory Reform Order 2005 and associated Guidance.

Shaun Doyle is Director of Ivorfire Safety Services and can provide advice and assistance on fire safety matters for all types of buildings and risks based on;

• Extensive fire safety background based on experience of 30 years dealing directly with fire safety legislation, as ex fire safety enforcer, extinguishing fires and investigating the more serious ones.
• Professional qualifications such as Chartered Safety & Health Practioner (CMIOSH) (Reg No 03395) or Incorporate Engineer (Reg No 536302)
• Academic qualifications such as Bachelor of Science Honour degree in Fire Engineering Management
• Excellent fire safety knowledge as secretary of the CFOA Fire Safety Order Working Group for 5 years, until 2008
