AGM 2010

IFE AGM, Conference & Exhibition (6.5hrs CPD)

Thank you to everyone who attended the AGM, Conference and Exhibition on 21st and 22nd July at the prestigious and magnificent Hotel Russell in London.

The conference & exhibition was a huge success with over 150 delegates in attendance over the two days, many of the delegates travelling from far afield.

The London venue provided amazing conferencing facilities which were enjoyed by all who attended and the excellent feedback received from both delegates and exhibitors bodes well for their attendance at the 2011 AGM, Conference & Exhibition to be held in Cardiff.

On the Tuesday evening a welcome drinks reception for our exhibitors, sponsors and International General Assembly was held at the London Living Room at City Hall. This was hosted by the Board of Directors and Commissioner Ron Dobson from the London Fire Brigade who welcomed all guests to this spectacular venue and the metropolitan City of London. The evening was bathed in glorious sunshine, with amazing views of the river Thames. The City Hall was ideally positioned next to Tower Bridge and opposite the Tower of London. All guests were entertained with the bridge itself opening on two occasions to let passing water traffic through and the whole evening was a great success.

One of the main features of the conference was the informal networking evening on the Wednesday evening where old acquaintances were renewed and new relationships established. This was held in the stunning Wharncliffe Suite at the Hotel Russell, with an informal buffet supper and drinks.

To round the week's events off the International President's dinner hosted by Mr. John Woodcock, newly inaugurated to the post of International President, was held on the Thursday evening again in the Wharncliffe Suite. All attendees were amazed during the dinner with the magnificent performance of "The Singing Waiters" and thanks again go to Sperian Fire & Protection for their generous sponsorship of this evening. The dinner was rounded off by a charity raffle draw from Operation Florian, which raised over £900.00 for this worthwhile cause.

Thank you to all our sponsors, exhibitors, delegates, speakers, members of the Board of Directors & the International General Assembly and staff for making this year's AGM one of the best yet. We are very much looking forward to Cardiff 2011.
