IFE to launch centennial year in Leicester

The Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) will formally open its centennial year back in its birthplace of Leicester next week.

At an event kindly hosted by Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service, the IFE will mark its 100th anniversary with a plaque unveilled by Sir Peter Soulsby, Leicester City Mayor, as well as the start of the global centenary torch relay. At this same event the IFE will also officially launch its eagerly anticipated Firefighter Safety Database.

A news story featuring coverage and photos of this event will be uploaded next week.
