Brief Synopsis
A leading firefighter (LFf) was seriously injured due to a fall from an appliance when it was struck by high winds. The LFf died from his injuries on the 5th January 1946 (House & Settle, 2016). ‘The gale ripped the canopy from the vehicle and blew’ the ‘Leading-fireman into the roadway’ (Unknown author, 1946).
