Synopsis

Brief Synopsis

A firefighter (Ff) was killed on the 4th January 1947, due to the injuries sustained following an appliance road traffic collision (RTC) en-route to an incident (House & Settle, 2016).

It is currently understood from an anecdotal conversation that the RTC involved a bus which overturned. Ffs were also thrown from the appliance including the one who died.

It is not currently known how many members of the public (if any) were hurt during the collision.
