    • IFE Level 3 Certificate (formerly Intermediate)
    • EngTech registration (Engineering Council UK or international equivalent)
    • UK Statutory Sub Officer/Junior Officer 2 exams
    • An IFE Recognised Educational Programme for TIFireE

Please note:
Engineering Technician registration with the IFE automatically confers Technician (TIFireE) membership. Thus, successful applicants can use the post nominal letters EngTech TIFireE

Key dates

Your application will undergo review at a Membership Application Assessment Panel meeting, which are held regularly throughout the year. You will need to provide all requested information by the submission date in order to ensure your application is reviewed at that panel meeting. Please find below the submission dates for the 2019 panel meetings.

Payment and subscriptions

There is no application fee. If your application is successful, an annual subscription is payable. Payments can be made by direct debit, credit/debit card or by sterling cheque or bank draft. All other ways to pay are listed here.
