Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

The Frequently Asked Questions have been compiled to answer the questions that candidates ask most often about applying for the examinations, choosing which examinations to enter, preparing for the examinations and requesting replacement certificates.

IFE Awarding Organisation Policies and Procedures

Privacy Policy:  The IFE is committed to protecting the privacy and the security of all personal information and to complying with the relevant regulation.  This policy sets out the way in which the IFE awarding organisation collects, uses and protects personal data - Privacy Policy.  

Reasonable Adjustments: Candidates with disabilities may apply for reasonable adjustments to examination conditions.  Candidates should read the the IFE's Reasonable Adjustments Policy for further information and, where appropriate, should submit requests to the IFE using the Reasonable Adjustment Application Form.

Complaints: The IFE hopes that candidates will not have reason to complain about our service.  However, the complaints procedure sets out the processes that will be followed in investigating and addressing complaints.

Customer Service Policy: the customer service policy sets out the standards of service that you can expect when engaging with the IFE awarding organisation.

Malpractice: The IFE is committed to maintaining the integrity of all assessments.  The Malpractice Procedure   sets out the way in which the IFE will investigate and respond to suspected malpractice.

Appeals Procedure: The Appeals Procedure sets out the processes when appealing decisions related to assessement, reasonable adjustments, special consideration and malpractice/maladministration.

Special Consideration and Deferral Arrangements: Candidates who have encountered unforeseen circumstances that affect either their performance during the examinations or their ability to attend examinations on the examination day should read the Arrangements for Special Consideration Including Deferrals guidance for further information.  Where appropriate, candidates should  complete and submit an application form for either special considerations or for a deferral arrangement.  Applications must be submitted using the appropriate form and within the specified timescale; all applications must include supporting evidence.

 Invoicing Policy: The invoicing policy applies where the IFE issues invoices to organisations that purchase qualification-related products or services from the IFE.
