Residential Kitchen Fires: The Influence of Cooking Practices and Social Circumstances

IFE London Branch presents a Zoom webinar:
Residential Kitchen Fires: The Influence of Cooking Practices and Social Circumstances

This free CPD event will cover a variety of components of unattended cooking fires in the USA, a relevant and pressing issue in the country as the number one cause of residential fires in the US each year. The webinar will include:

  • A discussion on cooking practices in the USA and how they have changed over time across the nation
  • An analysis of personal and family circumstances on the occurrence of unattended cooking fires.
  • An examination of fire safety information and warnings on cooktops
  • An exploration of American fire safety campaigns

Much of the webinar draws from research based on the US Fire incidents and Civilian Casualty datasets and an analysis of what they could suggest for the way ahead.
