About the Event
During the CPD, Dr Lucherini will discuss recent advances towards understanding the effectiveness of intumescent coatings for structural fire protection. The presented research aims at contributing to building the principles for the performance-based design of structural elements protected with intumescent coatings by explicitly understanding how different factors (i.e., heating conditions, substrate conditions, initial thickness, fire testing methodology) may influence their effectiveness.
There will also be time allotted for a Q&A at the end of the session
