From our Yorkshire & Humberside branch
Join us for this free, online event from the Yorkshire & Humberside branch. This is the first webinar event from the branch in 2026 and comes from branch president Joe Hart. As with other Yorkshire & Humberside branch webinars, the webinar starts with a 30 minute early-careers session before moving onto the full webinar.
Overview
Early-careers session - An introduction to fire safety in heritage buildings.
Main webinar - Technical & strategic considerations & case study.
Heritage and listed buildings present unique and complex challenges when developing fire safety strategies. The requirement to preserve historical character, fabric and significance must be carefully balanced against modern fire safety standards and life safety requirements. This webinar will explore best practice approaches, regulatory considerations, and real project examples illustrating how to achieve compliant, practical, and sympathetic fire safety solutions in heritage environments.
This session is designed for fire engineers, conservation specialists, building control professionals, architects, facilities managers, and anyone involved in managing or developing fire strategies for heritage properties.
