- Retrofitting and Competence for Safer High-Risk Buildings, including a panel discussion with Mark Snelling, President, Association for Project Safety (APS), Richard Harral, Chief Executive, Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE), and IFE International President James Lane. the panel discussion will cover:
- How can professional institutions work together to strengthen competence frameworks?
- How can institutions and government address the shortage of qualified, certified professionals to meet demand?
- What reforms are needed in certification and registration to meet demands of the Act?
- Where should accountability sit when failures occur - with individuals, institutions, or clients?
