Join us for this free, online event where speaker Martin Lown will investigate the impact of the ever-expanding use of lithium-ion batteries and the risks that come with them.

With risk to people, homes & businesses in 'daily use' and adding complexity for multi-agencies across the emergency response, investigation, recovery, transportation, quarantine/storage and disposal phases, how should we be mitigating through awareness, design, training, implementation, use and when things go wrong?

A look at the impact of increasing use of rechargeable Batteries in daily life, industry & commerce, transportation (automotive, marine and aviation), but also possibly nefarious use?

About the speaker

Having formerly served in the UK Fire and Rescue Service for 30 years, Martin is an experienced, qualified and Certified Fire Scene Investigator, more recently specialising in Vehicle Fire Investigation, delivering the world renowned Parklodge International Vehicle Fire Investigation course across UK, Europe and Internationally.

Alongside delivering UK-AFI accredited Tier 1 and 2 Fire Investigation training and CPD programs across the UK to Fire Service Investigators, Police and Forensic Investigators, Martin also delivers IMI accredited Electric Vehicle Hazard Management courses for Emergency Responders, Investigators/Examiners and Recovery Operators.

Martin acts as Technical Advisor to many national workstreams and has Technically Authored guidance for Civil Aviation Authority, Department for Transport (DfBB) and National Occupational Standards for the Institute of the Motor Industry.
