IMechE - Improving Fire Safety Through Simulation and Modelling 2026

From the Institution of Mechanical Engineers

The IFE are happy to support the Institution of Mechanical Engineers for this paid, in-person event in Birmingham this November.

Hazards can occur in all environments; protection against the risks of fire, smoke and detonation must be understood to ensure safety in design. Fire modelling is an essential tool for mechanical engineers to effectively manage this risk.

Attendees will come away with a clear understanding of which tools, software and development platforms are the most effective in individual, real world scenarios. Understand the advantages and pitfalls of different approaches and come away from the seminar with a greater practical awareness of fire modelling best practice.

This event is co-located with Fire Safety on the Railway, the conference offers attendees access to two specialist fire safety events, creating valuable opportunities to network with a broader community of engineers and safety professionals while expanding their knowledge across multiple fire safety sectors.
