The FIRE Conference returns to London on 5 November 2026, offering a unique opportunity for fire professionals to connect, learn and stay ahead of the latest industry developments. As an annual hybrid event, the event will provide up to six hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) alongside unrivalled networking opportunities with experts and peers from around the world.
This year's event has been redesigned to provide better value and engagement for all. This includes longer sessions that allow for deeper exploration of complex issues, extended audience Q&A opportunities, and enhanced knowledge sharing between delegates and speakers.
The conference will be officially opened by Lord Roe, who will provide an important update from the Building Safety Regulator and set out the key opportunities and challenges facing the sector. This will be followed by a comprehensive programme of plenary sessions and panel discussions, bringing together influential voices from across fire safety, building safety and the built environment to explore the sector's most significant current and emerging issues.
A morning panel discussion will explore whether the Building Safety Act is addressing needs, what is still to come, and what challenges may arise, whilst an afternoon panel will consider the progress of the professional reform agenda. An exciting session "What should Government's 2027 priorities be?" will consider the role of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Fire Safety and Rescue and the fire safety priorities it has identified for government including: sprinklers in schools, data storage centres, construction products, and the changing use of buildings. Bob Blackman MP, Lord Hendy, Lord Goddard, and Sir Peter Bottomley will provide valuable insight into the policy landscape.
The conference will also look beyond the UK through the session "Learning from abroad: international insights". Drawing on lessons from recent incidents including the Wang Fuk Court fire in Hong Kong and the Crans-Montana fire in Switzerland, the session will dive into how learning can be shared across borders to improve fire safety outcomes. Delegates will also gain insight into firefighting operations in a warzone with a focus on Ukraine.
