The annual FIRE Conference returns on Thursday 5th November 2026, bringing together leading voices from across the fire safety and built environment sectors to focus on one shared goal: building a fire resilient future.
Taking place both at 1 Basinghall Avenue, London, and online, this one‑day hybrid event is jointly developed by the Fire Protection Association, Institution of Fire Engineers, National Fire Chiefs Council and the Fire Sector Confederation. The conference provides a platform for insight, collaboration and practical discussion on the key issues shaping fire and building safety, helping to drive progress and strengthen resilience across the sector.
For the first time since its launch, the programme will move away from breakout sessions to deliver a more streamlined and focused experience, with sessions designed to explore key subjects in greater depth. Topics include ‘Is the Building Safety Act working?’, ‘Driving competence across the sector’ and ‘What should Government’s 2027 priorities be?’ The day will also explore recent fire incidents from abroad and how the sector can learn from international events, as well as the latest discussions on protecting the mental health and wellbeing of fire safety professionals.
The programme will include regular opportunities for audience Q&A, allowing attendees to engage directly with sector leaders and subject‑matter experts. In addition, the event will offer networking opportunities with organisations from across the sector, including headline partner PartB, drinks reception partner Siderise, and session partners RiskBase and Global HSE, giving attendees the valuable opportunity to build connections, share knowledge and explore collaboration. The day will conclude with a drinks reception providing a further opportunity for informal discussion and networking.
A spokesperson for the conference organising team said: “FIRE Conference brings together leaders, regulators, and practitioners from across the fire safety industry to align on regulatory reforms, emerging risks, and the challenges facing the fire sector.
“We are proud that in this rapidly changing landscape, we can hold a forum for the industry to come together and shape what’s next as we progress towards a more robust and accountable system of fire and building safety.”
Jamie Davis, Group Chief Technical Officer of headline partner PartB added: “We’re once again proud to sponsor the FIRE Conference. We firmly believe in coming together, assessing where we are and what we need to do to reach a robust, accountable system of fire and building safety.
“For us, this has been about providing the complete fire engineering and risk reduction solution – not simply solving one part of one problem with one service, but expanding our services to ensure all fire safety matters for our clients and partners are taken care of; all using engineering-backed ‘real world’ and experience-led solutions. We’re pleased to join the conference again this year to take stock of where we are – and to keep the focus on where we need to go.”
