Student Grade

Applicants for Student grade membership will be required to be following a recognised ongoing programme of study. You may be a Student member of the IFE for up to five years, at which point you will be required to upgrade your membership or transfer to Affiliate status. An ongoing programme of study is suggested to run for at least 6 months, the IFE Examinations are also accepted as attaining these requirements. Evidence of study will be required at the time of application.

*If applying for IFE Student membership and using IFE examinations as proof of current study - please submit BOTH applications at the same time.

The subscription year runs from 1st January to 31st December.

However, NEW members joining between October and December of the current year will receive these months free when paying the following year's subscription rate.

Full Time Education Student (FTE Student)

Applicants for FTE Student will be full-time students of fire engineering on a three or four year course. FTE Students pay a special one-off fee and whilst they can access the Journal online, they do not receive a posted copy of the Journal.
