Volunteers’ Week 2020

1st – 7th June 2020 is Volunteers’ Week, a national campaign to thank the millions of volunteers across the UK for the incredible contributions they make. 

Here at the IFE, we are using Volunteers’ Week to thank our volunteers around the world, who do everything from writing and marking exams, to running branches and assessing membership applications. Volunteers are an integral part of the IFE, and we appreciate all of their time and effort in underpinning our work in making the world safer from fire.

Roy Bishop Chief Executive Officer of the IFE commented:

“Volunteers are an essential part of the IFE, and the hard work and commitment they put in behind the scenes is second to none. They not only volunteer their valuable time to the Institution, but also their professional knowledge and expertise.”

To celebrate this week, we have created a series of Volunteer Spotlights, so you can get to know some of our volunteers, learn about the different IFE volunteer roles and find out about some of the highlights of volunteering. Simply click on the volunteers' names below to read their spotlights:
